Nine different configurations make the DSP-1760 Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG) a highly adaptable, easy-to-integrate solution for meeting a wide range of stabilization and navigation applications. The DSP-1760 allows the end user to select 1-, 2-, or 3-axes of the world’s smallest high-performance FOGs in an unhoused OEM configuration or housed in an environmentally-sealed, compact housing. The three unhoused variants are available with a Micro-D connector, while the housed variants are available with either a Micro-D or circular connector.

The DSP-1760 features a solid state design with exceptional bias stability, scale factor and Angle Random Walk (ARW). This high bandwidth/low-noise angular rate sensor is a navigation-grade gyro particularly well-suited for providing extremely accurate data for a variety of demanding military applications. It is an optimal stabilization and pointing solution for military vehicles, vessels, and aircraft with traditional weapons and turrets, as well as Remote Weapons Stations that must be stabilized for reliable on-the-move operation.
Unsurpassed Fiber Technology for Diverse Applications
The DSP-1760 relies on KVH’s exclusive E•Core ThinFiber, the world’s smallest D-shaped optical fiber. By reducing the overall diameter of the fiber, the resulting E•Core ThinFiber enables a greater length of fiber in the DSP-1760’s optical circuit, thereby dramatically increasing the accuracy of the gyros. The DSP-1760 is ideal for platform stabilization for land, sea, and aerial systems; navigation, guidance and control systems; and stabilization and navigation of unmanned and manned systems as well as stabilization of their payloads.
