DewShield Technology
DewShield, KVH’s exclusive, electronic dew elimination system, prevents moisture from collecting on the dome in less-than-perfect weather, when you need a clear picture most! Dew is prevented from forming on the surface of the antenna dome automatically by a GPS-based electronic device that synchronized to local time, turns on in the pre-dawn hours, and normalizes the temperature inside the dome by adjusting to the rising temperature of the morning air.
