"As the company grows in size and complexity, we have reached a point where having an attorney on staff at KVH to deal with legal, compliance, and contractual issues makes very good business sense," said Martin Kits van Heyningen, KVH's president and chief executive officer. "Her experience with intellectual property, corporate governance, SEC reporting, contracts, and various compliance initiatives, combined with our long-standing relationship with the law firm of Foley Hoag, will provide KVH with the best legal talent."

Prior to that, Ms. Dirsa also served as outside counsel to numerous technology and manufacturing clients at the law firm of Bingham McCutchen LLP (formerly Bingham, Dana & Gould LLP) in Boston, Massachusetts.
"This is a very exciting time to be joining KVH, with the company's breadth and innovation of product offerings," said Ms. Dirsa. "I look forward to working with the KVH management team to capitalize on KVH's unique market opportunity, through continued focus on bringing to market products incorporating pioneering technology at superior value."
Ms. Dirsa received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
