2004 Model Year Expands Use of TracVision Antennas and TracNet 2.0 Internet System on Newmar Vehicles
MIDDLETOWN, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2003--Illustrating the growing acceptance of domed satellite TV antennas, KVH Industries (Nasdaq: KVHI) announced today that leading RV manufacturer Newmar Corporation has elected to use TracVision® satellite systems as the exclusive in-motion solution aboard 2004 model year vehicles. For its top of the line Essex class vehicles, Newmar is offering both KVH's premier TracVision L3 in-motion satellite TV system and TracNet™ Mobile High-speed Internet System as an option, while the OEM-specific TracVision LF and TracVision SF antennas will be installed on its other vehicles.

Newmar will be offering a variety of KVH's TracVision systems. The TracVision L3 is a fully automatic, in-motion antenna that delivers satellite television and audio from DIRECTV(R), the DISH Network(TM), or other high-powered DVB-compatible satellite systems worldwide while the vehicle is both in motion and parked. The TracVision L3 is also fully compatible with the new KVH TracNet Mobile High-speed Internet System. TracNet receives Internet downloads at speeds reaching 400 kilobits per second (Kbps) via the high-powered, mobile DirecPC(R) satellite service, available exclusively from KVH Industries. Newmar will also be using both the TracVision LF, a fully stabilized in-motion system; and TracVision SF, a stationary, self-acquiring system for use when the vehicle is parked. These systems are compatible with the DIRECTV, DISH Network, and ExpressVu services and are designed specifically for factory installation.
