MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – March 10, 2005 – KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) announced today that Mr. Robert Balog has joined the company as its Vice President of Engineering for Satellite Products.

Mr. Balog most recently served as president of his own engineering contract services company, Automation Services, Inc., a contract product development and services group specializing in a wide range of automation solutions. Prior to that, Mr. Balog served as vice president of engineering at ADE Corporation in Massachusetts, where he was responsible for overseeing all engineering activities, which ranged from advanced research through new product development for the company, a supplier of automated metrology and inspection equipment used in the manufacture of semiconductors. Mr. Balog also held a number of other positions, including general manager and vice president of R&D, over the course of ten years at Speedline Technologies in Franklin, Massachusetts, a supplier of capital equipment to the electronics assembly industry.

Mr. Balog holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Purdue University. He has served on the Surface Mount Equipment Manufacturers Association Board of Directors, serving as chairman along with numerous other positions. Additionally, Mr. Balog is the recipient of 10 U.S. patents.
