Promotions Give Thousands of Dollars Worth of Free Phone, Fax, and High-speed Internet Service to New Customers
MIDDLETOWN, RI – February 17, 2005 – When you’re out at sea, there is never any reason to be out of touch thanks to high-quality Inmarsat satellite services and the award-winning Tracphone® communications systems from KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI). Now, KVH has made it even easier to get telephone, fax, and high-speed Internet services wherever you cruise thanks to two free Inmarsat airtime promotions. These offers are available to new KVH Tracphone customers as well as to customers who make the switch from the soon-to-be-discontinued Inmarsat A service to Inmarsat’s versatile new Fleet service and a new Tracphone F33, F55, or F77 satellite communications system.
“Inmarsat provides the world’s most popular and reliable maritime satellite voice, fax, and data services,” remarked Ian Palmer, KVH’s executive vice president of satellite sales. “As a leading supplier of Inmarsat-compatible products, KVH is pleased to offer our customers these promotions, which combine our award-winning hardware and Inmarsat’s powerful Fleet service. Thousands of mariners across the globe trust KVH’s Tracphone antennas to help keep them in touch with home, business, and emergency services. These two promotions make Tracphone an outstanding and even more affordable combination for keeping in touch worldwide.”
The first promotion awards new customers thousands of dollars worth of free airtime when they purchase a new Tracphone F33, F55, or F77 system and activate their service using Inmarsat Airtime by KVH. The value of the free airtime will range from $2,000 for new Tracphone F33 customers to $3,000 for customers activating a new Tracphone F55 or F77. To qualify, customers must activate their Tracphone and new Inmarsat Fleet service before June 30, 2005.
The second promotion extends Inmarsat’s popular A-to-Fleet upgrade program, which was put in place when Inmarsat announced that the Inmarsat A service would be phased out by 2007. To help users manage the cost of the transition to Inmarsat’s Fleet service, KVH is offering $3,000 in free airtime minutes to Inmarsat A customers who purchase and activate a new Tracphone F33, F55, or F77 system and Inmarsat Airtime by KVH before December 31, 2005. The customer must use Inmarsat Airtime by KVH for a minimum of 12 months. These two promotions cannot be combined. Complete details, terms and conditions, and activation forms are available at www.kvh.com/trac_offer.
