MIDDLETOWN, RI – March 27, 2007 – KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) is pleased to announce that Car Concepts of Salt Lake City, Utah, will serve as KVH’s regional distributor for the company’s award-winning TracVision® A7 satellite TV system and TracNet™ 100 mobile Internet system. Car Concepts will be working with KVH to support 12V retailers throughout Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.
“Car Concepts is excited to be awarded the opportunity to be the distributor for KVH’s award-winning automotive products in this region,” said Ryan Goeller, the buyer for Car Concepts. “With more cars coming equipped with more options from the factory, diversification is essential for the 12V specialist’s survival.”
The firm will be focused on the sales and distribution of KVH’s 12V flagship products:
- The TracVision A7 automotive satellite TV system – The award-winning TracVision A7 uses KVH’s patented hybrid phased-array antenna technology to offer a 5-inch high satellite TV system with exclusive in-motion reception of up to 185 channels of DIRECTV® service including national networks like ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC via local TV affiliates – a first in the mobile entertainment and automotive industries.
- The TracNet 100 mobile Internet system with MSN® TV service – TracNet 100 provides in-motion, high-speed access to MSN TV Internet services, including MSN Mail, MSN Messenger, web browsing, Internet radio, and online games, all conveniently displayed on the video screens and TVs in vehicles. For those users who depend on applications on laptops or PDAs, the TracNet 100 also turns a vehicle or vessel into a mobile hotspot thanks to integrated WiFi that supports multiple users and devices.
“We look forward to working with Car Concepts and better serving our automotive customers throughout the region,” said Ben Bettelli, KVH’s regional sales manager. “This is an important part of the country for KVH’s TracVision product line due the distances you have to travel between cities.
