KVH’s TracVision M3ST voted best in Marine Entertainment category by
U.S. marine electronics dealers
MIDDLETOWN, RI – October 20, 2008 – Each year, members of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) recognize those products that they feel offer the best value, performance, and customer satisfaction in several categories. KVH Industries, Inc., continued to set the pace for marine entertainment products this year, with the TracVision® M3ST satellite TV system earning its second consecutive NMEA Industry Award, leading the field in the “Entertainment” category. This marks the 11th consecutive year that a TracVision system has won this honor, an unprecedented streak of excellence.
“Receiving our 11th consecutive NMEA Industry Award is something we are very proud of,” says Jim George, KVH’s director of satellite sales. “It shows that KVH’s support of our dealer network has been, and continues to be, superior to that of our competitors, and that KVH is a company that people want to do business with. We are honored that these talented marine electronics professionals hold us in such high regard.”
The 14"-diameter TracVision M3ST, an in-motion system that includes KVH’s deluxe mobile 12V DIRECTV® receiver, helped open the marine market for satellite TV aboard boats as small as 30 feet, bringing satellite TV entertainment to a largely untapped segment of the boating market and expanding business opportunities for dealers. Thanks to KVH’s family of 14" TracVision satellite TV systems, small boat owners can enjoy their favorite Ku-band DIRECTV programming when cruising as far as 200 miles offshore.
These benefits all contributed to KVH receiving this year’s NMEA Industry Award for Entertainment. “The TracVision M3ST is another in a great line of products from KVH,” says Robert Kinney of Alcom Marine Electronics, Inc., in Costa Mesa, CA. “It’s easy to install, reliable, and cost effective, and best of all, our customers love ‘em!”
Owners are impressed with KVH’s TracVision systems, also. “There just is no comparison with the KVH TracVision!” says Neil McLeod, owner of the MV Horizon, a 41' Cheer Men Marine tri-cabin trawler.
Some of the innovations that set the TracVision M3ST apart from other satellite TV systems are features like KVH’s exclusive RingFire™ technology, which offers reception and coverage previously only available with 18"-diameter systems. The TracVision M3ST also features a single cable installation, integrated 12V DIRECTV receiver, and backlit RF remote control. With everything but the TV screen and a DIRECTV subscription included in the box, the TracVision M3ST has proven to be among the most convenient and easiest to use satellite TV solutions available today.
