“KVH is a high-technology company, and our success depends on the creativity and innovation of our skilled engineers,” explains Whitney Holland, chairperson of KVH’s charitable giving committee. “We are excited to help support the next generation of mathematicians and engineers who will create the breakthrough technologies and products of the future. We’re very proud to offer the annual KVH Technology Scholar Award and hope to encourage young people to pursue higher education in math and engineering by assisting a student in our community with the costs of attending college.”
Among those eligible for the scholarship are students who live on or attend high school on Aquidneck Island as well as the children and grandchildren of KVH employees. While this scholarship is not solely needs-based, preference will be given to students who demonstrate a financial need.
