KVH Names First-ever Technology Scholar Portsmouth High School senior Samantha Sinapi wins new KVH scholarship created to encourage math and engineering education MIDDLETOWN, RI – June 23, 2008 – KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) is pleased to name Ms. Samantha Sinapi of Portsmouth, RI, the recipient of the 2008 KVH Technology Scholar Award. Ms. Sinapi, a recent graduate of Portsmouth High School who will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall, is the first recipient of this new scholarship, which will be given annually to a deserving high school senior attending a 4-year undergraduate math or engineering program the following fall. “We created the KVH Technology Scholars program to promote continuing education in the fields of math and engineering in recognition of their importance to the future success of KVH Industries as well as our local and national economies,” explained Chris Watson, KVH’s marketing manager. “On behalf of everyone at KVH, I want to congratulate Ms. Sinapi, who was chosen as our inaugural award recipient based on her outstanding work in school, her personal commitment to the study of engineering, and her senior project, which was carried out in cooperation with a Disney Imagineer.
