KVH Staff & Family Join the Fight Against Cancer
David Laird, Volunteer of the Quarter
KVH Is Going Green(er)
KVH Industries is all about making connections – connecting travelers with the information they need; the entertainment they enjoy; and with their friends, families, and co-workers at home, in the office, or back on shore. We’ve become a leader in our markets through hard work, innovation, and a dedication to excellence in our products and our personnel. Those same qualities help us make successful, meaningful connections within our community as well, sometimes through the company itself and sometimes through the efforts of our employees, who give generously of their time and energy to aid others. Recognizing the importance of these efforts, we’re proud to have launched the KVH Charitable Giving Initiative.

KVH Charitable Giving Initiative Mission Statement:
The Initiative’s mission is to strengthen KVH's contributions to, and visibility within, the community through financial and service donations, while encouraging and celebrating volunteerism on the part of KVH employees.

KVH is pleased to support charitable efforts in each its home communities in and around Middletown, Rhode Island; Tinley Park, Illinois; and Kokkedal, Denmark. To learn more, please contact us at community@kvh.com.

  • KVH Makes Record Donation to United Way; Pies Managers in the Process (PDF: 128 K)
It's entirely possible that raising money for worthy local charities has never been this fun. When the KVH Charitable Giving Committee decided to support the RI office's annual United Way of RI campaign, the results were win-win: a total donation of $16,070 (the most KVH employees have ever donated in a United Way campaign, blowing away last year's total of $6,900), increased awareness about UWRI's Community Impact Fund, and one very memorable afternoon in the cafeteria. Spurring on contributions was the Day Off Competition, in which the team with the most participation in payroll deduction contributions won an extra paid day off, a coin drive, and the big finale, a Pie-in-the-Face fundraiser where employees bid on chances to put a pie in the face of one of nine volunteer managers. See what happened…
