Congratulations to Mary Aceto, KVH’s vice president of global information technology, who has been named a 2024 Tech10 Honoree. The Tech10 awards recognize Rhode Islanders who are embracing the latest technology that impacts the way we live and learn about the world. During her thirty-five years with KVH, Mary has been instrumental in the company’s growth and success as the company’s products and services have grown while KVH expanded to a worldwide organization.
Her role and skills have evolved along with the company. When asked by Rhode Island Monthly about new skills she continues to develop, Mary replied, “Cybersecurity skills such as risk and compliance, cybersecurity operations and cloud defense are among the most vital skill sets, as securing our systems and network is a top priority. As new innovations–such as AI demand and integrations within cyber technology– increase, the demand for cyber skill sets continues to grow.”
And while she muses that she might have been an elementary school teacher had she not gone into IT, we’re very happy that Mary ended up with us at KVH.
Congratulations, Mary, on this prestigious and well-deserved award, and thanks to you and your team for all the work you do for your fellow employees and our customers around the globe.
