KVH is pleased to announce a new content distribution agreement with Learning Seaman, a leading premium crew wellbeing content provider. Learning Seaman’s library of video-based wellbeing programs, expert-led wellness clips, and other mental health-focused content is now seamlessly integrated into the award-winning KVH Link content distribution service. This new wellness content will be available to seafarers via the KVH linkHUB media server, which also offers onboard access to hundreds of blockbuster movies, TV series, daily print and TV news, karaoke, and more via televisions in common areas, as well as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
“We’re thrilled to partner with KVH,” said Yofis Florentin, Founder/CEO of Learning Seaman. “This collaboration opens up tremendous opportunities to provide our wellbeing content to an even broader audience, helping to foster a healthier, happier, and more engaged crew. We are confident that this will help improve the wellbeing of countless seafarers globally.”
KVH, which has a 70-year history of distributing high-quality, crew-focused content, will now offer Learning Seaman’s wellbeing videos to thousands of crews globally using the KVH Link service. The content covers essential topics such as stress management, fitness, sleep optimization, and mental health support, all designed to empower crew to prioritize self-care in what can be a highly stressful environment.
“We’re incredibly excited about this partnership with Learning Seaman,” said Jamie Airs, Global Content Sales Manager at KVH. “In a sector where work-life balance has become more important than ever, we aim to provide ship managers with the tools they need to support their crews’ wellbeing. Learning Seaman’s innovative content is a perfect fit for the KVH Link service. Prioritizing crew wellbeing is key to improving mental health and productivity and retention, so it benefits crew and ship manager alike.”
KVH Link content is constantly refreshed with the latest releases. It is available to crew, individually or in a group, on multiple devices simultaneously and delivered to the linkHUB media server using either over-the-air delivery via onboard SATCOM or 5G/cellular services or physical delivery via secure drive. KVH Link content is licensed from copyright holders for crew viewing. Thanks to multiple secure delivery methods, KVH Link also reduces the risk of cyber threats that could be brought onboard via unlicensed content and USB drives.
